Brad Ziegler (45)

Pitch #1: Fastball, mid 80’s velocity, with arm side sinking movement.  Moves a lot and moves late, generating a lot of groundball outs.  Really hard pitch for right handed hitters to get around on.  Only pitch he throws because he controls it extremely well and it moves a tonne.  Easier for lefties to hit because of his arm angle.

Delivery: Side arm delivery, with an extremely high leg lift up around his shoulder.  Stands on the first base side of the rubber.  Real tough delivery for righties to pickup.  Fairly easy delivery to repeat.

Control: East to west pitcher, that keeps the ball down in the zone with consistency.  Has plus control over his fastball, and is always around the plate.

Poise: Works quickly, very poised as he has closed in the past.  Really composed on the mound and just goes after hitters.

Physical Description: Tall and lanky pitcher, who could stand to add weight throughout his body.  Long legs and broad shoulders.

Projection: 7^th inning guy who is best used in situations where a team needs a groundball out, or a tough righty is at the plate.  Real great sinking fastball that generates a tonne of groundballs, and that eats righties up.  Not strong enough against lefties to use in a setup role.
