Curveball: NA

Delivery: 45

Pitch #1: Fastball, high 80’s to low 90’s velocity.  Consistently tries to pitch under the hands of left-handed pitchers, does miss out over the plate a bit too often which can lead to homeruns.  Throws it almost exclusively, especially in short outings.  Struggles to throw it to the right side of the plate.

Pitch #2: Slider, low 80’s velocity, uses it as his strikeout pitch.  Has sweeping up then down movement.  A solid pitch that he controls well and isn’t afraid to double up on when he wants a strikeout.  Uses it more in longer outings.

Pitch #3: Changeup, low 80’s velocity.  Straight changeup, little movement on it.  Doesn’t throw it very often, usually just a mix in pitch to keep hitters from sitting on his fastball.

Delivery: Stands on first base side of the rubber, pitchers from the stretch, with a belt high leg lift.  Very short quick and compact delivery with a high three quarters arm slot.  A slight hesitation at the top of his delivery and then pushes hard towards the plate.  Slightly difficult to repeat delivery.

Control: Controls the fastball well, but has a difficult time getting it inside to right-handed hitters, as he consistently leaves it out over the plate against them.  Very aggressive pitcher that throws a lot of strikes and isn’t going to walk many batters.  Really struggles to pitch to the right-handed batters box side of the plate.

Poise: Real quick to the plate with runners on, uses a slide step.  Very difficult to run on.  Not easily rattled, gets the ball and goes right back to work after giving up a hit or walk.

Physical Description: Large upper body with smaller lower half.  Almost a V shaped back. Real long thin legs, with a short upper body.

Projection: Strictly a lefty specialist, rarely pitches against right-handed batters, and when he does has little success.  A consistent reliever that can come in and throw strikes to lefties and get them out.
