Stance: Bent at the knees and waist, lifts his front foot off his heel. Keeps his hands held at head level and close to his body, with his arms just below shoulder level. Has a lot of movement in his hands prior to the pitch being released. Uses a toe tap/turn followed by a straight forward stride. When behind in the count will place his front foot ahead of his back foot and keep both feet planted on the ground.

Approach: Real intelligent hitter, who understands his role and situational hitting. Has great patience at the plate and can drag out at-bats against the best pitchers. Likes to open his hips and pull the ball when he can. Likes the ball on the inner half. Will chase down and away. Has great pitch recognition and can hit any pitch in any location. Doesn’t have great plate discipline or strike zone awareness. Does not give away at-bats.

Hitting Ability: A line drive hitter with incredible bat control. Pulls his hands in extremely quickly and has a lightning fast swing. Hits to all fields but likes to pull the ball. Great small ball player, who hustles hard and gets a fair number of infield hits. Rarely strikes out, walks quite a bit. Walks almost as much as he strikes out. Hits both lefties and righties extremely well.

Power: Has slightly above average power, almost strictly pull power. Will occasionally go yard to left-center field, but almost never goes long to the opposite field. Capable of hitting 10-15 homeruns annually.

Running: Has slightly above average speed, that doesn’t play great on the bases. Very aggressive runner, not afraid to challenge an outfielders arm. Due to his lack of plus speed he struggles with caught stealing, but remains aggressive. Capable of stealing 10-12 bases a year, but will get caught at least a handful of times. Speed plays much better on defensive side of the ball.

Fielding: Very versatile defender, capable of playing almost every position on the field. Has great range in all directions in the outfield, great at making the running catch. Above-average defender at third and second with strong range. Plus arm strength with plus plus arm accuracy. Has incredible athleticism with soft hands and great instincts.

Physical Description: Athletic and muscular build. Has great weight distribution and muscle definition. Muscular legs with strong back and shoulders. No need to add or subtract weight and no concern over adding bad weight in the future.

Projection: A fantastic hitter who is one of the most versatile defender in the league. Can hit anywhere in the lineup and play multiple positions. Doesn’t have any plus plus tools, but does everything really well. Extremely valuable player who is very well liked and respected by his teammates.
